Showreel
Having worked predominantly in the NGO/humanitarian space for many, many years, I am pleased to share with you my showreel. This is a fairly comprehensive overview of that work, alongside some more recent work and, of course, some of my photojournalism images.
The Temperature Guy
Every morning before dawn, former television executive, Guy Dunstan, walks down to Manly Beach in Sydney, Australia, takes the ocean temperature and writes it in chalk on a concrete wall. 'The numbers' have become a much-loved and anticipated part of Manly's beachside culture. Here is a short film that gives a tiny glimpse into the life of 'The Temperature Guy'.

Still Morning
A still autumnal morning, ocean swimming with the Bold and Beautiful Swim Squad, Manly Beach, Sydney, Australia.
I love swimming with this crew. But today, I had the privilege of filming them.
Filmed on the new Panasonic HC-X2 camcorder.

Safer Internet Day 2023
Safer Internet Day (7 February) gives us an opportunity to reflect on our online engagement. I'm very proud to have written and directed this campaign video for eSafety for their Safer Internet Day campaign for 2023. The 2023 theme is to Connect, Reflect and Protect. So, whenever you connect online, reflect on what you're going to say and do. That way, we will protect ourselves and each other.
Working with MSF
I first met Megan Graham in Sydney, just before she left for Jahun, Nigeria. I arrived in Nigeria several weeks later to film emergency obstetric surgeries for MSF. Having Megan there provided an opportunity to shoot a recruitment video for MSF’s non-medical field staff. Projects don’t run without people like Megan.
Kala Azar: Road to Elimination
Half of the world's cases of kala azar occur in India, and most of those occur in the poor state of Bihar. The negelcted tropical disease (NTD) is transmitted by sand flies and affects the poorest of the poor. It is therefore most common in agricultural villages and is almost always fatal without treatment. Médecins Sans Frontières has been on the frontline fighting kala azar in India treating more than 12,000 patients to date.
Cambodia: Innovate for better TB screening
Rather than waiting for people already presenting symptoms of tuberculosis (TB) to go to the hospital for screening, this initiative involves staff actively seeking out people in at-risk groups.
